We are blessed to live in one of the most beautiful natural areas in the world, the Pacific Northwest. I have been fortunate to have grown up in a family that loved to travel, and hopefully, continue to travel for many years to come. Our trips range from weekend outings to short vacations that take us to many areas in Oregon, Washington, British Columbia and beyond. Our abundant natural settings and a wide variety of wildlife provide endless subject matter for photographic pursuits.
My love for photography originated from my parents. I cherish many of the pictures of our family handed down to me. I thank them for allowing me to fumble around in their darkroom while growing up. I think they would be amazed to see all of the photo possibilities that have been opened up to us in the digital age. Who would have imagined 50 years ago being able to produce printed images without the use of darkroom chemicals and countless rolls of film.
As a freelance photographer, I enjoy photographing a wide variety of subjects. My favorite outings are hikes outdoors that bring me close to wildlife. Scenery is another subject that I love to capture.
